What you must do:

To provide you with the best financial tools available, we’re transitioning your Vermont Federal Credit Union debit card from MasterCard® to Visa®.

On January 26, activate your new card and set your PIN by calling: 1-800-631-3197
Please remain on the line after activating your card to set your PIN.

You can then start using your new Visa® debit card.  Your current MasterCard® debit card will be deactivated.

Please update your payment and billing information with any merchants or service providers who have it saved on January 26, 2022. This may include wireless, cable and internet providers, insurance companies, highway toll accounts and online merchants where you shop regularly.

New Feature: Visa Account Updater

Your new Visa® debit card will include Visa Account Updater (VAU) as a complimentary service.

With VAU, participating merchant accounts that you have set up for auto-payment using your debit card will be automatically updated with new information in the event of a card replacement; not all merchants participate in VAU. There is no cost associated with this service, and you may opt out at any time.

Notice of Right to Opt Out
Effective January 26, 2022 your Visa Debit Card will be automatically enrolled in the free Visa® Account Updater (VAU) service. With VAU, your account files will be updated when information changes because of a product upgrade, card expiration, loss or theft, account closure or other changes. A participating merchant can access that updated card information before requesting a payment. Since not all merchants participate, you should also contact the merchants directly if your card information changes. You are entitled to opt out of this service. You may opt out at any time.

If you want to opt out, phone us at 888-252-0202 option 2, email us at memberservices@vermontfederal.org, or mail us notice of your intention to opt out at Vermont Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 407, Burlington, VT 05402. You must include your name, address, and account number. If you opt out, you may opt back in if you decide you want the Visa Account Updater service in the future. You may opt in the same way(s) that you can opt out.
