No matter where they may be on life's journey.
As a local Credit Union, one of our primary goals is to be a strong and active participant in the towns and communities we serve. It is in our DNA to help our members' financial lives and the communities we call home. We believe that improving the communities in which we work and live will ultimately enrich the lives of our members.
Vermont Federal Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation. We established this foundation because we believe in giving back to our community and supporting the organizations that help those in need. We encourage our members and anyone in our community to help us help others. Together, we can help our fellow Vermonters realize their dreams and aspirations, and we thank you for your support!
While we recognize that there are thousands of worthwhile charities, activities and events that merit Vermont Federal Foundation's financial support, donations will be primarily awarded to the following areas of focus:
Living in the Green Mountain State, we understand the importance of protecting our environment and supporting initiatives that reduce our carbon footprint.
We are Vermonters, serving fellow Vermonters. Families, children, and teens in our communities need and deserve our support. Let’s help build strong communities right here in Vermont.
We live in a state full of natural abundance. No one here in Vermont should go hungry or worry where their next meal will come from. Let’s help to end food insecurity.
All Vermonters deserve to have a place to call home. The housing crisis in Vermont is real, and we can make a difference and help Vermonters find appropriate housing.
When considering charitable contribution and grant requests, we will give preference to 501(c)(3) or certified not-for-profit organizations that reflect Vermont Federal Foundation's values such as responsible fiscal management and productive community involvement. The charitable contribution and grant request guidelines are not all inclusive, and consideration will be at the discretion of Vermont Federal Foundation
You can make a financial donation at any time. This can be a one-time donation or set up as a recurring donation. All donations are tax-deductible and our donation platform accepts all forms of payment.
Vermont Federal Foundation can round up your debit card purchases to the nearest dollar amount and transfer the difference from your Vermont Federal Checking Account to Vermont Federal Foundation.
Example: If you used your Vermont Federal Credit Union enrolled debit card to purchase groceries in the morning for $110.80 (20 cents), then purchased gas for $48.16 (84 cents), $1.24 would be transferred from your Checking Account to Vermont Federal Foundation at the end of the day.
Through your current Vermont Federal Checking Account, you can elect to donate as little as $1 a month, and this $1 donation will automatically be donated to Vermont Federal Foundation. A small monthly contribution from Vermont Federal Credit Union members can go a long way!
