Recently, some members have reported receiving fraudulent letters in the mail claiming there was a recent security incident that may have impacted their account and instructing them to call a so‑called “dedicated support line” at (808) 301-1105.
These letters do not originate from Vermont Federal Credit Union, are not connected to any legitimate security communication from our Credit Union. Scammers often use language that sounds urgent or official, reference “necessary verification,” or threaten account closure or restricted access in an effort to pressure you into responding quickly.
Please be assured that if Vermont Federal Credit Union needs to contact you about a genuine security matter, we will never ask you to disclose full account numbers, debit or credit card PINs, online banking passwords, or one-time verification codes.
If you receive a letter claiming to be from Vermont Federal Credit Union regarding fraud or a security incident DO NOT call the number listed in the letter, and DO NOT provide any personal, financial, or online banking information. Instead, contact us directly at 1-888-252-0202 to report the letter to our member service team.
