Recently, some members have been receiving fraudulent text messages claiming there has been unexpected activity on their card. These messages are requesting the last 10-digits, CVV, and expiration date as verification. Please keep this information secure and report any suspicious requests immediately. Be aware of phishing scams that attempt to steal your personal information by pretending to be a trusted entity. Always verify the source before providing any sensitive information.
We will NEVER ask for your full debit or credit card numbers, personal identification numbers, Online/Mobile banking credentials, or one-time password.
If you receive a call claiming to be Vermont Federal Credit Union that asks for any of the information listed above, DO NOT provide any information. Hang up and call us directly at 1-888-252-0202 to report it to our member service team.
