Thank you to all who joined us for our 65th Annual Meeting and Member's Celebration!

Four Directors were reelected to the Board of Directors during the 65th Annual Meeting held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Oakledge Park in Burlington: Megan Manahan Bliss, Ethan Hutchins, Suzanne Lynn and Paul Politano.  

 Megan Manahan Bliss

Megan Manahan Bliss Megan is an active board member of Vermont Federal Credit Union in her third year and appreciates the opportunity to continue to its success.

Megan practices law with Cahill, Gawne, Miller & Manahan, P.C. in St. Albans. She started with her firm in law school as a law clerk, joined in 2003 as an attorney and later became a shareholder. Megan received her B.S. from the University of Vermont and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

Megan is active in her community serving as the Chairperson for both the St. Albans City Development Review Board and the Recreation Commission. She is a former member and past President of the St. Albans Rotary Club, former Executive Committee Member of the Club's Foundation Restoration Project and former Co-Executive Director of the Rotary Club Home and Recreation Exposition. Megan is a member and past president of the Franklin/ Grand Isle Countries Bar Association, the Vermont Bar Association, St. Albans City Board of Civil Authority and is a Justice of the Peace. She has participated in many community activities serving in various roles: Franklin/Grand Isle United Way Programs, Vermont Association for Justice Board of Governors, Care Partners Inc. Board of Directors/Chair. Megan lives in her hometown of St. Albans with her husband, Jason Bliss.

Ethan Hutchins

EtEthan Hutchinshan is a University of Vermont alumnus who grew up in Barre, Vermont. Ethan currently resides in Williston with his wife, Erica, and their 15 month old daughter. Ethan enjoys being active outdoors, is an avid snowboarder, and enjoys playing golf and tennis. He also enjoys spending time biking with his family.

Ethan started his career in 2008 in the software design industry. He is currently employed at MyWebGrocer as a software engineer. Ethan enjoys participating in the whole lifecycle of software development and having an end result of new or additional functionality for the software program. Ethan takes on a range of software development projects ranging from database administration, customer web forms, internal tool usage analysis/reports, and User Interface Development.

Ethan played for the University of Vermont’s men’s soccer team and is currently on their Hall of Fame committee. Ethan appreciates the time he has been able to spend on Vermont Federal Credit Union’s board and looks forward to getting more involved.

Suzanne Lynn

Suzanne LynnSuzanne Lynn is the co-publisher of the St. Albans Messenger, Milton Independent, Essex Reporter and Colchester Sun. In addition to her publishing and general manager responsibilities, Suzanne is also responsible for the creation and guidance of a new marketing arm of the organization: Messenger Marketing. The Messenger Marketing team specializes in assisting businesses with their complete marketing needs.

Suzanne is a resident of St. Albans and an active participant in the community. She served on the board for Vermont Public Television, the Franklin County Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way of Franklin & Grand Isle Counties. Suzanne has created popular events for the area, including the Taylor Park Fine Wine & Food Festival, the “Running of the Bells” fun run and the Milton Independent “Monster Mile.” Suzanne also formed and publishes the “Discover Northwest Vermont Guide” which is the first area guide for Franklin County. 

Suzanne received her B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Along with being an avid volunteer, and reader, Suzanne is a fitness enthusiast who enjoys hiking, skiing, powerlifting, and being outdoors. Suzanne is currently serving a three-year term on Vermont Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors.

Paul Politano

Paul PolitanoPaul Politano resides in Brandon, Vermont with his wife and their four children. Paul works at Middlebury College’s golf course as their Head Golf Professional. Paul graduated from St. Lawrence University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology.  Paul started his golf career in 1991 at a golf course in Glendale, Arizona.

Paul is an active member of the golf community; he has been working in the industry for 27 years and has been nominated on numerous occasions for awards such as Vermont PGA Professional of the Year. Paul also served on the Vermont PGA Board of Directors from 1998 to 2009.

Paul is proud of the accomplishments he has had in the industry which includes a program he built for the Brandon Recreation Department called, “Hook a Kid on Golf” and building the Neshobe Golf Club from a quiet 9 hole course to the well-respected 18 hole course it is today.
