Vermont Federal Credit Union membership elects Board of Directors at 65th Annual Meeting

Burlington, VT – On Saturday, June 2, 2018 over 250 community members joined Vermont Federal Credit Union leadership and staff at Oakledge Park in Burlington to elect the Board of Directors and celebrate the success of 2017.

The meeting began promptly at 3:30 PM with remarks from President and CEO of the Credit Union, Jean Giard and Board Chair, Joseph Finnigan. After a brief meeting, members enjoyed food from the Burger Bar, music by local singers Dwight and Nicole, face painting, balloon animals and caricature drawings.

Incumbents Megan Manahan Bliss, Suzanne Lynn and Paul Politano were reelected to the Credit Union’s Board of Directors for three year terms. Incumbent Ethan Hutchin was also reelected to the Board of Directors for a one-year term.

Megan practices law with Cahill, Gawne, Miller & Manahan, P.C. in St. Albans. She started with her firm in law school as a law clerk, joined in 2003 as an attorney and later became a shareholder. Megan received her B.S. from the University of Vermont and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.

Ethan started his career in 2008 in the software design industry. He is currently employed at MyWebGrocer as a software engineer. Ethan enjoys participating in the whole lifecycle of software development and having an end result of new or additional functionality for the software program. Ethan takes on a range of software development projects ranging from database administration, customer web forms, internal tool usage analysis/reports, and User Interface Development.

Suzanne Lynn is the co-publisher of the St. Albans Messenger, Milton Independent, Essex Reporter and Colchester Sun. In addition to her publishing and general manager responsibilities, Suzanne is also responsible for the creation and guidance of a new marketing arm of the organization: Messenger Marketing. The Messenger Marketing team specializes in assisting businesses with their complete marketing needs.

Paul Politano resides in Brandon, Vermont with his wife and their four children. Paul is employed by Middlebury College as their Head Golf Professional. Paul graduated from St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology. Paul started his golf career in 1991 at a golf course in Glendale, Arizona.
