Vermont Federal Credit Union Announces New Chief Operating Officer

Burlington, VT – Jean Giard, President and CEO of Vermont Federal Credit Union, is pleased to announce that Donna Perkett has joined the Credit Union as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Donna Perkett is named VFCU's new Chief Operating OfficerDonna Perkett joins the Credit Union with over 30 years of banking experience, most recently as the Executive Vice President of Retail Banking for Arrow Financial Corporation, a $2.5 Billion bank with headquarters in Glens Falls, New York. As the Executive Vice President of Retail Banking, Perkett oversaw 225 staff members, 40 branch locations, and was responsible for marketing, business development and municipal banking. Prior to her role at Arrow Financial Corporation, Perkett was responsible for distribution, strategy and planning for 140 retail branch locations as a Senior Vice President at Bank of America.

Receiving her bachelor’s degree from Boston University and later her MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Perkett has extensive experience in strategic vision, operations, sales and executive leadership. Perkett is also an active community member, serving as the Chairperson for the Glens Falls Foundation and formerly on the Board of the Prospect Center and Glens Falls Medical Mission in New York.

Jean Giard stated, “In our search for a new COO, we sought a candidate with experience in and a focus on the member experience, as well as a commitment to the community.” Giard added, “We are confident that Donna is the right candidate and will bring much value to the Credit Union.”

Perkett shared, “I’m looking forward to providing strategy and leadership to all member facing employees within lending, retail and member support, focusing on providing an outstanding member experience.”

Perkett has relocated to South Burlington and will be joined by her husband and their family.
