Building on last year’s success, this year’s drive saw an increase in early contributions, with Vermont Federal members donating coats even before the official launch. All collected coats will be distributed through [Lund](https://lundvt.org/), the [Vermont Department for Children and Families](https://dcf.vermont.gov/), as well as regional non-profit organizations. “We are incredibly grateful to our Vermont Federal members, staff, and the entire community for making the second year of the Great Vermont Coat Drive a huge success,” said Jean Giard, President and CEO of Vermont Federal Credit Union. “In Vermont’s harsh winters, a warm coat is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Through this partnership, we are committed to making a meaningful impact and ensuring that more community members stay warm this winter.” The coat drive ran from January 14th to February 14th, 2025, with all eight Vermont Federal Credit Union branches serving as collection sites. Coats donated at each branch will be distributed within their respective local communities. For over 70 years, Vermont Federal Credit Union has been dedicated to community support and volunteerism, giving back through donations, partnerships, and local initiatives.
