To select the winners, organizations throughout Vermont participate in a rigorous, two-part evaluation administered by Workforce Research Group. The first phase reviews each participating organization’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics and represents roughly 20% of the total score. The second phase consists of an anonymous employee survey, which accounts for the remaining 80%. Combined, these results determine the final list of top companies and their rankings.  "The workspace for Vermont businesses has changed over the past several years due to Covid. Employees working remotely, hybrid working models and labor shortages have had a huge impact on Vermont businesses, but all Vermonters know that Vermont is a great place to live, work and play. We know that our employees are happy with their place of employment. The employers have created a work environment where the employees love to work. These employees and employers are committed to a productive workplace, be that while in the office or working remotely. This list is a testament to the fantastic companies here in Vermont. This list consists of businesses from every corner of Vermont with many diverse products and services", states Katie Kittell, Publisher, VermontBiz.  This recognition underscores Vermont Federal Credit Union’s ongoing commitment to building a workplace where collaboration, communication, and creativity are central to everyday operations. Team members are encouraged to share ideas, work together across departments, and explore innovative solutions that support both the organization and its members. To sustain this culture, Vermont Federal Credit Union invests in robust professional development opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and competitive compensation. These resources are designed to help employees grow their careers while maintaining stability and balance in their personal lives. The Credit Union also prioritizes connection and community among staff. Regular team-building activities, volunteer opportunities, and social events help strengthen relationships and create a sense of belonging. By pairing these initiatives with hybrid work options, comprehensive benefits, and wellness programs, Vermont Federal Credit Union fosters an environment where employees feel supported, engaged, and empowered to do their best work.
