December 1, 2025 –
South Burlington, VT - In Vermont, 2 in 5 individuals experienced food insecurity in 2022, and recent national data shows that food insecurity has increased each year since then (Source: Vermont Foodbank). With the costs of goods rising and growing concerns about food security, Vermont Federal Foundation is hosting a charitable raffle aiming to raise $60,000 during the holiday season. Of these funds, $20,000 will be donated directly to The Vermont Foodbank, whose work is vital in ensuring that individuals and families across Vermont have access to nourishing food and essential support throughout the year.
The $60,000 total will be divided three ways, with $20,000 each granted to:
- Vermont Foodbank - Vermont’s largest charitable food organization, providing food to more than 300 food shelves, meal sites, senior centers, and schools and hospitals in the state.
- Vermont Federal Foundation - Vermont Federal Credit Union’s 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation established to uplift the Vermont community and bolster organizations supporting impact causes, including sustainability, building strong communities, food security, and affordable & stable housing.
- One Raffle Winner—One lucky individual who enters the raffle will receive the $20,000*
A total of 3,000 raffle tickets will be available to purchase, and tickets will cost $20.00 each. Vermont Federal Foundation invites community members to purchase tickets to the raffle to show their support for the nonprofit organizations and for the chance to win $20,000*.
