November 6, 2024 -

South Burlington, VT – Vermont Federal Credit Union partnered with the Cancer Patient Support Foundation as the Presenting Sponsor for the Second Annual Casino Night, “Bet on Hope 2024.” The event took place at Hula Lakeside in Burlington, VT, on October 19, 2024, and raised over $31,000 to support Vermont cancer patients and their families.

Established in 2001, the Cancer Patient Support Foundation provides financial assistance to Vermonters battling cancer, acting as a resource during diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

“Supporting Vermonters is at the heart of everything we do," expressed Maribeth Spellman, Chief People Officer & General Counsel at Vermont Federal Credit Union. "Partnering with the Cancer Patient Support Foundation complements our ambition to offer financial help to those who need it most. We were truly honored to be the Presenting Sponsor for this event, spreading hope and support among cancer patients and their families."

The event featured casino games, food, music, and a silent auction, all to raise money for the Cancer Patient Support Foundation. Community members at the event were also honored for their advocacy and support of cancer patients.

Bet on Hope 2024 is one of many charitable causes supported by Vermont Federal through the establishment of its new Vermont Federal Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation established to uplift the Vermont community and bolster organizations dedicated to aiding those in need in the focus areas of affordable and stable housing, building strong communities, food security, and sustainability.
