COVID Emergency Mortgage & Rent Assistance Programs

On Friday July 10, 2020 the State of Vermont announced the implementation of a housing assistance program which includes a mortgage assistance grant that is being administered by Vermont Housing Finance Agency for low-income Vermonters who are in forbearance and/or delinquent on their mortgage. In addition, the Vermont State Housing Authority, an agency that manages federal rental assistance programs statewide, will administer the $25 million rental assistance program. Applications, additional program eligibility requirements, and answers to FAQs are available on VSHA's website.
