**Burlington, VT – Jean Giard, President and CEO of Vermont Federal Credit Union, is pleased to announce that Doug Fisher has joined the Credit Union as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).**

Prior to his experience with the Town of Essex, Doug was a Managing Partner for R.F. Lavigne & Company, a local accounting firm.

He has extensive experience in the oversight and maintenance of accounting records, the development and management of financial systems, the preparation and implementation of the annual budget, and the audit of the Town financial statements. He is also a member of the Government Finance Officers Association and a graduate from Bentley College with a degree in accounting.

Doug has been involved with the credit union for over 30 years including time served on the Supervisory Committee and the Board of Directors.

Jean Giard stated, “Doug brings with him a wealth of leadership experience and a deep passion for the Credit Union. We are very excited for him to join our team.”
