**Burlington, VT – Vermont Federal Credit Union Donated $1,000 to the Saint Albans In Good Taste Event.**

![in-good-taste-logo](https://www.vermontfederal.org/hs-fs/hubfs/images/news/in-good-taste-logo.png?width=182&name=in-good-taste-logo.png)Nearly 400 attendees gathered at the local City Hall on Friday, January 27th to taste and purchase products from Northwestern Vermont’s farmers, growers, producers and craft beverage artisans. The event was put on by St. Albans For The Future (SAFF) as an opportunity to bring local consumers and producers together to connect and to support the local food movement. Approximately 30 vendors participated in this year’s event.

This was the Credit Union’s first year sponsoring the In Good Taste event, though Vermont Federal is not new to supporting local businesses and food purveyors. For the past nine years the Credit Union has been the presenting sponsor of Vermont Restaurant Week, an event which benefits the Vermont Foodbank, but also brings attention to local businesses and emphasizes chefs using locally-grown and produced ingredients.

Vermont Federal Credit Union is a $900 million-plus full-service, not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution that has served Vermonters for more than 70 years, with eight locations currently serving over 50,000 members. Members are part of a cooperative, meaning they share ownership in the Credit Union and elect a volunteer board of directors.
