When Women Win: Vermont Federal Credit Union Donates $2,125 to Vermont Works For Women

November 21, 2024 -

South Burlington - Vermont Federal Credit Union presents an on-court donation of $2,125 to Vermont Works for Women, continuing its ongoing partnership with University of Vermont Women's Basketball and She Roars.

As a women-led Credit Union and the Presenting Sponsor of University of Vermont Women's Basketball and the University of Vermont She Roars program, Vermont Federal Credit Union advances its mission of supporting Vermonters through its "When Women Win" initiative. Through this program, Vermont Federal Credit Union has pledged to donate $25 to Vermont Works for Women each time a University of Vermont women's athletic team secures a home game victory. At the end of the 2023 season, the program generated a total of $2,125, a testament to the dedication and hard work of the women's athletic teams.

"This partnership is particularly meaningful to us as our Credit Union is strongly dedicated to supporting the success of Vermont women," stated Maribeth, Chief People Officer for Vermont Federal Credit Union. “We are proud to support Vermont Works for Women, as their mission aligns perfectly with the Credit Union's values and mission.”

By linking the athletic successes of our University of Vermont Catamounts with local community support, the program aims to honor and highlight the remarkable accomplishments of female athletes while also offering resources and assistance to Vermonters. Vermont Works for Women was chosen as the recipient of this initiative because it demonstrates a strong dedication to empowering women and girls by equipping them with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to succeed in diverse career paths.
