Credit Union staff spent the day collecting non-perishable food items as well as cash donations to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf. Staff volunteers provided suggested items to donate and those who contributed received reusable Vermont Federal tote bags as a thank you. This year’s food drive raised 5,130 pounds of food and $610 in cash, equating to 1,830 additional pounds of food for a total of 6,960 pounds donated. This is an increase of over 650 pounds from the previous year’s event.
