Vermont Federal Credit Union will round up your debit card purchases to the nearest dollar amount and transfer the difference from your checking account to the savings account of your choice.
Example: If you used your Vermont Federal Credit Union enrolled debit card to purchase groceries in the morning for $110.80 (20 cents), then purchased gas for $48.16 (84 cents) and dinner for $24.64 (36 cents), $1.40 would be transferred from your checking account into your preferred savings account at the end of the day.
Once you sign-up to participate, the rounding up will begin in as little as one business day and no more than five business days.
Accounts eligible for the Debit Card Round-Up feature include any personal checking accounts. Business checking accounts are not eligible.
